Block Captains Meeting for Tilles Park & Lindenwood Park

The Tilles Park Neighborhood Association’s next General Meeting is on Tuesday, May 29th, 6:00-8:00 pm at Tilles Park. This is our annual Music & Picnic in the Park event and is an open invitation to our residents, neighbors, families and friends to come and have a picnic at the Park while enjoying music and the chance to visit with each other. Come, bring your picnic, lawn chairs/blankets and enjoy the evening and our Tilles Park.
The next General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00 pm at the St. Louis Police Officers’ Assoc. Hall, 3710 Hampton Ave.
Come and get updates on what’s going on in the neighborhood and the plans for 2012. We will have information from our Alderman, NSO, 2nd District, etc. Also, our committees will have information on opportunities for you to be part of our volunteer efforts/participation in the June 2nd 5k Run, gardening in the Park and the Block Captain program. We will also be accepting payment of the annual $5.00 TPNA membership dues.

Join us for the quarterly TPNA & LPNA Block Captains Meeting on Thursday, January 12, 2012. The new year is a great time to connect with neighbors for maintaining a stable neighborhood.

What do Block Captains do?
- Keeps a current list of block residents (phone numbers/e-mail addresses)
- Welcomes new residents to the block
- Communicates neighborhood information/resources to block residents
- Organizes block activities
- Attends quarterly block captain meetings (1 hour)
- Recruits Block Captains for surrounding blocks
Mark your calendars; don’t miss the upcoming Tilles Park Neighborhood Association General Meeting and Holiday Party!
The meeting will take place, Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00p.m in the St. Louis Police Officers Association Hall (3710 Hampton, Saint Louis, MO, 63109).
If you haven’t been to a General Meeting before, this is an excellent chance to get involved in your neighborhood by:
- Meeting your neighbors
- Receiving updates on TPNA plans & upcoming events for 2012
- Meeting/talking with your Alderman, Joe Vaccaro and/or NSO, Annette Bridges
- Receiving Second District Police Reports
- Updating your 2012 TPNA Membership
Refreshments will served. If you are able, we ask that you bring a canned good and/or personal care item to benefit the Hi-Pointe Community Center (serving people of Tilles Park and surrounding neighborhoods).

Due to the success of our annual movie night in years past, we have decided to add several movies to the line-up this year. So bring your favorite lawn chair and your choice of refreshments to the upcoming movie nights in Tilles Park!
On September 16, 2011, we will be showing Despicable Me. On September 23, 2011 we will be showing Toy Story 3. Each night, we will be gathering for the event around 6:00 PM near the racquet ball court. Please plan on the movie starting around sundown (at 7:00 PM.)
Please don’t be shy, invite your friends and neighbors to this event! It’s fantastic fun for the whole family.
The Annual TPNA Trivia Night is coming up on August 20, 2011. It will be held at the Police Officer’s Association at 3710 Hampton Ave. Doors open at 6:00 PM, the contest will begin at 7:00 PM. Proceeds to benefit the neighborhood association.
The contest will feature 10 Rounds of 10 Questions. Free beer and snacks and soda will also be available to all participants. Great prizes will be awarded including a $150 first place prize.
